Needing to fill a role immediately?  First you tell us what you’re looking for, then we help you market the position, search our network and your marketplace for potential candidates, conduct preliminary screening, and present you with only the most qualified individuals for your position.  On a contingency basis, you only pay when you hire one of our candidates.

RETAINED EXECUTIVE RECRUITING
Looking for that key leader or manager to advance your company’s success?  Understand the importance of the time and effort it takes to identify and recruit top-level talent?  A retained recruiting agreement is a truly strategic partnership between your company and Dovetail Recruiting.  We take the time to understand your company’s needs, culture, and what makes you unique. We help you define the role and key performance indicators of the successful candidate.  We then act on your behalf in completing preliminary and follow-up interviews, reference checks, and candidate analysis. Throughout the process, you enjoy regular updates, transparency, and candid feedback.

Contained Recruiting:
Not quite ready for or in need of retained executive recruiting, but want something more than a contingency-based agreement?  A container agreement allows you to enjoy the exclusivity of a retained executive search, but at a lower cost. An up-front engagement fee secures dedicated time and resources, we take the time to understand your company and its specific needs, and then we strategically market the position, target only the best candidates, perform interviews, and help you with the hiring process and beyond.  However, should the position be closed or filled through alternative means, your deposit can be reallocated or used for a future search.

Retainer-Based Agreement
We understand that many woodshops don’t have a dedicated Human Resources department, let alone a people function focused solely on building your network of potential employees.  Let Dovetail Recruiting fill that gap for you. With a monthly retainer fee, we will build a robust network of candidates in your marketplace and centered around your expected needs.  When a position does open up, we will go through our normal process of marketing and screening, albeit in a network already tailored to your company’s needs.

Who We Are: A lifetime in the trade

Like many in the trades, owner Seth Clark began his journey in woodworking at a very young age.  Some of his earliest memories are from being on residential construction jobsites with his cabinet-maker father.  A love of creating and building continued to blossom in commercial woodshops during summers in his teens; a degree in history of art and architecture led to hands-on historic preservation work; all of which culminated in the founding and operating of a successful commercial woodshop.  It is the decade of experience as a shop owner that Seth relies upon in his efforts at Dovetail Recruiting, which is further informed by a lifetime spent in the trades.
